Whilst it is certainly true that most of my models are female, from time to time I do have a male model. Perhaps it is obvious how I set about this drawing, placing half a dozen blotches of colour on the blank paper to position his elbows, knees etc. and then ‘joining the dots’ with the merest hint of a line – miraculously the final result suggests strength and solidity and even a hint of the model’s striking looks.
