I painted this camped up on the cliffs in front of the YHA looking directly across the beach to the mass of rock that forms Trethias Island. It is worth noting that every single area of white in the picture comes into being by leaving the white paper unpainted. I never use white paint or masking fluid, so as you might imagine, the sea was a major challenge.
