This craggy heavily eroded tor acted as part of the location for the TV film ‘The Hound of the Baskervilles’ and between it and Greator Rocks there lies the remains of a once thriving medieval settlement that was decimated by the plague. It is certainly a place of atmosphere and history and I wouldn’t want to be caught out there on a dark misty night.
