In this painting I have tried to suggest an atmosphere of quite mystery with the sea-mist lifting to reveal the beautiful boat with its rust coloured sails. In the distance the high cliffs of Bolt Head can be seen and on the left the trees on Biddlehead Point are silhouetted against the light.
